“The best part of working for Comforts of Home – Care is the flexible hours. Having the choice to say yes or no to a shift is a great perk. I did the Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week for many years. As my children got older, I wanted to return to work on a casual basis.
Comforts of Home – Care turned out to be the perfect fit for me. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and also understanding. It took a while to find me the perfect client, but they did. We became good friends and she looked forward to my visits as much as I enjoyed going to work with her. Shopping, appointments, lunch out, and cooking with her for me was a dream job. I ended up taking a few shifts in a care home. This is where I found my true calling.
I love being around these seniors! Many of them get no visitors and no longer have family. A quick smile, hello, or me holding their hand for just a moment can brighten their day.
Sandra is always genuine, honest and personable with her clients — and she’s a true advocate for them. She speaks for them when they are unable to. They’re always fed, clean, and entertained when she’s with them. A dedicated caregiver, Sandra has the ability to care for multiple clients at a time and she never has any complaints.
When not working, Sandra loves to clean her house, look after her many house plants, watch crime shows, and she loves her computer.
