The journey of a caregiver can be challenging, but it is rewarding! More than that, caregiving is about building real relationships.
One of our caregivers spent an afternoon each week with a client over the course of 5 months, and adored her client, Darla*, so much that she didn’t even let the fact she was allergic to Darla’s cat get her down!
In this particular instance, Darla needed someone to accompany her on errands and with personal needs, like cooking meals.
This made a huge difference for both Darla and her daughter — Darla’s daughter wanted to be there for her mother, but couldn’t take the time to help her with everything she needed. She was so happy to know that even when she had to go out of town on business, her mother was being well-cared for.
